Excited for: Loafer love.

Since being back home from college my parents have been spoiling me like no other and I do not mind at all. These are my purchases from the past fifteen days.

  1. Steve Madden Elton Glitter Loafers.  I have partaken in the tomboy chic trend for a while now. So when the entire loafer fashion sprung into the scene I was in heaven. These give such your outfit such a twist. It's a much better alternative to the glitter Toms everyone is wearing.
  2. Chinese Laundry Tetris Loafers. My first Vegan shoes! I was in obsessed with these shoes as soon as I saw them. They have such a Havana in the fifties feel to them. The citrus color gives is such a fresh take to the woven trend. I would wear these with some shorts and chiffon shirt to feel like you are headed to party on a sunset in the beach.
  3. Marc Jacobs Amy watch.  A slight change to the Michael Kors watch on every wrist. This one is smaller and has Marc Jacobs written around the face of it. I love how it is big but not ostentatiously huge. I love how men inspired it is but looks quite girly yet.
  4. Novhe Cross bag   My sister in law gave me this bag for no apparent reason and I cannot believe how similar to Cartier it looks. Its small and fits all of  your essentials. Perfect with everything for a night on the town.
I just realized how almost all of these things match haha. Look forward to my next haul.

Thanks for reading!

Excited for: Princess Vera Wang Collection for Kohls.

As I was flipping through Teen Vogue last month I stumbled upon an editorial of fun looking clothes. I was not impressed until I saw a pair of glitter booties, since then I have been anxiously waiting for the Princess Vera Wang collection at Kohls. Yesterday I decided to go and write a review about it.

[Beautiful display]

When I entered the store I was quite impressed with the mounting and exhibition of the line, it looked quite boutique-ish. Right away I went through the clothes then entered a terrible realization: as senior in college with potential jobs or internships that require professional looking clothes, these no longer fitted my wardrobe. There were some great basic pieces like the blazers and shirts but the rest of it does cater to a younger audiences which I am devastated to realize I may no longer be part of.

But enough with the sob story, I did try on a few pieces regardless whether they were age appropriate.

So I first tried on this Candies pleated skirt. I had been eyeing it for a while and yesterday I finally tried it on. I think it is actually quite flattering for a pleated skirt and I think it would look great with a blazer on top of it. It also comes with a neon belt which is detachable but I think gives the skirt a twist.

I tried on this pink tutu skirt and thought it was quite cute. It has sparkles all over the tule and does not itch. The only setback is that it is too short and I do not think it is appropriate for anybody out of high school. This was the item that gave me my sad epiphany about age.  The sweater is cropped and is made out of a warm fabric. I think it could be used with jeans and a shirt underneath.

Next I tried on the dress that I though was the funnest. The lace at the bottom is beautifully made. But again, I felt this dress was too young. As if I could find it in Hot Topic, its really well made but it is for someone younger.

What I felt was the star in the collection was the denim vest. It has leather details at the top and back and has embroidery. I think this is a definite keeper and something that can give a girly rock and roll twist to every outfit.

Other Highlights included the following :

I hope you enjoy this review and that it helps in some way to your process.
